Day by day
This is a customisable itinerary outline. The written booking confirmation determines the final programme and inclusions.
Day 1–3Shanghai
The Bund & Shanghai lanes
Compare the Bund’s historic facades with the Pudong skyline, then slow down among the city’s leafy streets and old neighborhoods.
Day 4–6Hangzhou
Hangzhou’s West Lake · Tea culture, leaf to cup
Explore lakeside paths, willow-lined views and stories of poets and painters. A boat ride can be arranged when services operate. Meet a tea host, learn about preparation and taste different infusions. Tea picking depends on the season and the farm’s arrangements.
Day 7–9Huangshan
Huangshan · Hongcun & Huizhou craft
Granite peaks, pine silhouettes and cloud-filled valleys; continue to Hongcun’s whitewashed houses and reflecting ponds. Explore Hongcun’s old houses, village ponds and traditional woodwork. Continue to Tunxi with time for local craft and street life.
Day 10–12Jingdezhen
Jingdezhen porcelain craft
Visit kiln heritage and contemporary studios, then try shaping or decorating porcelain with an artisan. Firing and delivery are confirmed separately.
Day 13–15Wuhan
Wuhan’s river-city heritage
Explore Wuhan’s Yangtze River setting, historic sights and local food before continuing towards the Three Gorges.
Day 16–18Yangtze Three Gorges
Through the Three Gorges
Continue through the Yangtze’s gorge landscape. Confirm the actual cruise or land programme, embarkation port and transfers before booking. Enjoy any available free time before your arranged airport or station transfer. Departure timing is coordinated with your confirmed ticket.
